Storm Shelters To Be Installed In Cottage Grove

cg-sign

Cottage Grove, Tenn.–Storm shelters will be installed in Cottage Grove by the end of April.

The storm shelters will be installed on the property of the Cottage Grove City Hall, now located at the former Security Bank.

Members of the Cottage Grove Legislative Council heard about the new storm shelters at Tuesday night’s meeting. It is being paid for from the Local Government Recovery and Rebuilding Direct Appropriation Grant in the amount of $12,590.

Councilman David Jackson told RadioNWTN there will be two buildings which should house 15 people each. The portable shelters will be above ground and anchored to the concrete outside of City Hall, he said.
