Union City, Tenn.–A 25-year-old man is dead and his 23-year-old cousin is in custody in the Obion County Jail for his murder.
Marcus Taylor, age 25, originally from Union City, died of multiple gunshot wounds in a Saturday night incident. Union City Police were called to Eastgate Apartments around 10 p.m. on a report of shots fired and that witnesses had seen a victim laying on the ground.
Upon arrival, officers found that Taylor had been transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital by private vehicle. He was pronounced dead at 10:52 p.m. by emergency personnel.
According to the press release from the Union City Police, investigation determined that Keyshaun Townsend, age 23 of Union City, a cousin of the victim, had shot him multiple times.
Townsend is in the Obion County Jail on a charge of second-degree murder.
