Paris, Tenn.–Due to the extreme cold and hazardous road conditions, the Paris Board of Public Utilities. will be suspending pre-pay disconnects today, Monday, February 15. Please keep in mind that although disconnects have been suspended for today you will still be responsible for usage from today once normal business practices resume, BPU officials said.
Public Utility Authority CEO Terry Wimberley said, “We encourage you to utilize the MyBPU App to monitor your usage and report outages should one occur in your area however, you may experience slower load times or other issues within the app due to increased traffic. The third party that hosts our app has explained that increased traffic across the Southeast/Midwest due to the current extreme weather event has created these issues and they are working to get them resolved as quickly as possible.”
