Henry County Mask Order Extended

Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Mayor Brent Greer has extended his executive masking
requirement order another seven days through Sunday, September 13th. The
existing order is set to expire this Sunday evening at midnight.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee issued Executive Order #59 on August 29, which
continues to provide 89 rural Tennessee counties, including Henry County, the option
to issue local masking requirements through September 30th to slow the spread of
COVID-19.

Local government officials and healthcare professionals continue to support masking,
along with frequent hand washing and social distancing, to slow Coronavirus spread
in the county. This will continue to give our schools and businesses the best
opportunity to remain open, they said.

Mayor Greer plans to reissue this order every seven days through September 30 to coincide with Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order #59.

The upcoming Labor Day Holiday weekend will be a critical time to slow down the
virus. We continue to need the cooperation of our community.
