Paris Man Sentenced In False Imprisonment Case

Paris, Tenn.–A Paris man was sentenced to jail on his conviction in Henry County Circuit Court of holding a woman against her will.

Daniel Walker, age 42, of Tyson Ave., pleaded guilty to two counts of assault in the case which occurred in October of 2017.

He was sentenced to serve 11 months and 29 days in the Henry County Jail on each of the charges, which will be served concurrently. They will be split this way: 90 days continuous confinement and the balance on supervised probation. He was given credit for 67 days served in jail.

In the 2017 incident, Walker was arrested by Henry County Sheriff’s deputies on charges of false imprisonment, domestic assault and assault. According to the reports, Walker reportedly held a woman at his house and had nailed the windows and doors of the house shut.
