Three COVID-Related Deaths Reported For Henry County

The State of Tennessee Health Department is now reporting three COVID-related deaths for Henry County, while most every county in our area is also reporting deaths that are virus-related. The information was released Wednesday in the State Health Department’s daily COVID-19 update.

In Obion County, the state is reporting four deaths; two deaths in Benton County; six in Carroll County; nine in Dyer; seven in Weakley and 11 in Gibson County.

For each county, the totals are:

Henry: 168 active cases, 357 total

Carroll: 252 active, 426 total

Benton: 108 active, 197 total

Obion: 311 active, 700 total

Weakley: 380 active, 658 total

Dyer: 369 active, 772 total

Stewart: 35 active, 89 total

The total COVID-19 case count for Tennessee is now 137,800 as of August 19, 2020 including 1,452 deaths, 6,069 hospitalizations and 99,085 recovered. [Percent positive for today is 7.24%.] For additional data go to www.tn.gov/health/cedep/ncov.html.
