Erin, Tenn.–Organizers of the Houston County Fair announced today that the 2020 fair has been cancelled due to COVID-19.
In their statement, they said, “We sadly announce, due to the COVID-19 and in the best interest of Houston County residents, our volunteers, vendors, and all participants, the Houston County Fair has been cancelled for 2020.
“We find it impossible to safely host the fair this year with the resources available and as an all-volunteer organization we do not have the manpower.
“The Fair Board is heart-broken that it cannot have the Houston County Fair this year, but we look to next year to come back better than ever. The Fair Board also encourages everyone to stay safe through these times and we look forward to seeing you at the fair in 2021.”
