demetrius-hilliard

Paris, Tenn.–The stabbing suspect sought by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office was taken into custody late Saturday night without incident.

Demetrias Hilliard, age 22,  was located in the area of State Line Road and taken into custody without incident.

The Sheriffs Office thanked the citizens for the tips received, the Puryear Police Department and Calloway County Sheriffs Office for their help in locating Hilliard.

The sheriff’s office had warned the public he should be considered dangerous.

The incident began at approximately 4:15 pm when the Sheriffs Office responded to a residence on Jim Hunt road in reference to a stabbing.

The suspect, identified as  Hilliard, fled the scene before deputies’ arrival. Hilliard was later spotted in Puryear but was able to evade deputies at that time.

He was driving a black Buick LeSabre with Tennessee tags, but in an update Saturday evening, the sheriff’s office said the vehicle was recovered at a residence on State Line Road “and we believe Hilliard could still possibly be on foot in the area.”
