Benton County, Tenn.–Thursday’s release of 150,000 pure Florida Bass fingerlings in Benton County will be held at noon at the Eva Beach boat ramp (Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park annex).

Benton County Mayor Brett Lashlee said he and other county and tourism officials along with the high school and Bethel fishing team representatives will gather for the bass fish delivery.

As we reported, 150,000 bass fingerlings were delivered at Paris Landing State Park Tuesday from the American Sportfish Hatchery in Montgomery, Ala. The same outfit will be delivering the bass to Benton County.

A total 300,000 bass fingerlings are to be released into Kentucky Lake and the Tennessee River, with 150,000 going to each county. This project was made possible from funding through the Henry County and Benton County Tourism Authorities and the collaboration between City and County Mayors.
