Dresden, Tenn.—A Martin man was killed in a one-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning.
Jack Golden, age 86, was killed in the accident, which occurred at 5:30 a.m. on State Hwy. 217 near Darnell Lane, a few miles outside of Dresden.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report released by Sgt. Jena Eubanks, Golden was northbound in State Hwy. 217 when he crossed the center lane, exiting the roadway and traveling down an embankment, hitting a tree head on. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
