COVID-19 Cases Increase To 6 In Henry Co.; 3 In Obion Co.; State Info Line Open Daily

The COVID-19 case count for Tennessee is now 4,138 as of today, April 7, which includes 72 deaths, 408 hospitalizations and 466 recovered. Monday’s case count was 3,802, with 65 deaths.

Positive cases in both Henry and Obion Counties have increased, with Henry County now showing 6 positive cases (with 121 negatives) and Obion County showing 3 with one death (and 89 negatives).

Also in our area, Gibson County is showing 13 positive cases, Dyer 10; Carroll 8; Weakley 5; Benton 4; Stewart and Houston both at 2 each.

The State Department of Health issues a public update on the COVID-19 crisis every day at 2 p.m. on both its website and its Facebook page. The information also includes a county by county case count.

Additionally, State Health Department operators man a COVID-19 infomation line every day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 833-556-2476 and 877-857-2945.

Starting Monday, Henry County Medical Center has started providing a daily update on its Facebook page which is posted by 5 p.m. The update provides a breakdown on how many people in the county have been tested, how many have tested positive, how many test negative, results pending, current positive inpatients at the hospital. It also provides information on the counties surrounding Henry County in both Tennessee and Kentucky.
