Search Resumes For Woman Swept Into Tennessee River

Benton, Ky.–The search for the woman who was swept into the Tennessee River earlier this month has continued in Marshall County, Kentucky. Efforts are being directed by Marshall County Rescue Squad Chief Kurt Schmidt with multiple agencies assisting.

Brandy Osborne, age 37, of Illinois, was last seen walking into a flood area on the evening of February 14.

Agencies helping in the search over the weekend include: Trigg County Rescue Squad, Four Rivers K9 Search Rescue and Recovery Team, Lyon County Rescue, Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife, Southeast Missouri K9,Gilbertsville Fire Department, Mayfield/ Graves County Fire and Rescue, Marshall County EMS, Calvert City Fire Department, South Marshall Fire Department, McCracken County Rescue, Marshall County Responders Support and Red Cross.

Marshall County Emergency Management is on site to assist the agencies. Telecommunicators from Marshall County 911 have set up on scene in the role of Incident Communications Specialists to coordinate efforts of the agencies throughout the search.

Schmidt said, “We would also like to thank the local businesses for their support who have supplied meals and drinks for the agencies out here working.”
