Paris, Tenn.–A Paris man is being held in the Henry County Jail on $40,000 bond after his arrest for aggravated assault after an incident at the parking lot of a local convenience store.

Deshar Sanchez Patton, age 30, of 303 Jenkins St., was arrested at 12:22 a.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of Pocket’s on Mineral Wells Ave. by Paris Patrolman David Beauvais.

Beauvais was dispatched on a call of a gun being pointed at someone in the parking lot. According to the report, a witness said Patton began yelling at a man in another car and that he pulled a gun at and began punching the man.

In his report, Beauvais said he found a silver Ruger 9mm pistol in a trash can in the parking lot. The gun had a round still in the chamber and two rounds in the magazine.
