dwight-bryant

Paris, Tenn.–A Springville man is being held in the Henry County Jail on charges of domestic assault, aggravated assaulted and aggravated child abuse and neglect after an incident Wednesday.

Dwight Josh Bryant, age 30, of Stephanie Lane Springville, was arrested by Deputy Gary Carroll.

According to the report, a 911 call was received which appeared to be from a child saying someone was hurting someone. When Deputy Carroll arrived, three kids ran out of the house into the rain and Bryant stood in the doorway, ignoring Deputy Carroll’s calls to him.

Deputy Carroll said when he looked the kids’ over, he saw one had choke marks around the neck. He said when he asked Bryant what was happening, Bryant said the kids were disrespectful and he wasn’t going to be disrespected and that he was a white supremacist who lives by the 14 words. According to the report, Bryant kept repeating that over and over, then said he may have gotten a little out of hand.

According to Deputy Carroll, the kids told him Bryant had choked one of the children twice and he had to fight to get away.

In his report, Deputy Carroll said DCS has been called into the case.
