Paris, Tenn.–Planning for the 2020 Tennessee River Jam has already begun, with the Youth Leadership 2.0 group meeting recently to start planning their event. Youth Leadership 2.0 is a spin-off of the Paris-Henry County Chamber’s Henry County Youth Leadership program and it is under the leadership of County Schools Director of 9-12 Instruction Betsy Allison.

“Betsy Allison is doing an incredible job with these students,” McLeese said. “She volunteers as the chair of these two projects, as well as our Adult Leadership Henry County Program.”

Tennessee River Jam will be held this year June 25-June 28.

“It has been a great experience to work with these students,” McLeese said. “We heard from youth in the community that they wanted to get involved and plan an event during the festival and we are doing everything possible to make it happen for them. Throughout this process they have been able to roll up their sleeves while getting a behind the scenes look at what it takes to execute an event of this magnitude.  I am thrilled to see their interest and follow through to this point.”
A press conference will be held Thursday, February 27th to announce the full schedule of events and artists during the music festival.
