Huntingdon, Tenn.–A man listed as homeless has been arrested by Carroll County Sheriff’s deputies for domestic assault and false imprisonment.
Robert Kevin Huntoon, age 37, was accused of assaulting and threatening a Huntingdon woman. According to the report, Huntoon was driving when he and the victim got into an argument in the car. He allegedly broke her cell phone, then stopped the car on a bridge on Old Stage Road and told her he was going to kill her.
When another car approached, Huntoon told her he couldn’t do it there and drove down a gravel road where he told her to get out and run and he would give her a head start.
The victim told deputies she tried to hide from him in a creek, but he found her, took her back to the car and physically assaulted her. He then allegedly drove her to her father’s house and told her if she got $400 for him he would take her back home. She agreed, but used the opportunity to escape from him.
