Paris, Tenn.–Work is progressing on construction of the Splash Pad at the Eiffel Tower Park and Paris Parks and Recreation Director Tony Lawrence told WENK/WTPR, “We’ve really done a lot of work this week now that there isn’t so much mud on the site” after recent rains. Several contractors are working on different aspects of the project, including laying water, sewer and electrical lines. “We’ve got a lot of moving parts,” Lawrence said. The city of Paris and public works personnel also are working at the site. City officials are hopeful for a Memorial Day weekend 2020 completion for the project. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
