Union City, Tenn.–Having recently been designated as a “Reward” school by the Tennessee State Department of Education, room has been made at Union City High School for a banner to commemorate the honor.
The UC School System was recognized as a district-wide composite Level 5 overall.
Level 5 status is two standards above average in district and school growth measure compared to the growth standard. That status represents significant evidence that students exceeded the growth standard.
As a whole, the district earned an “advancing” status in achievement status, subgroup status and final determination.
High school students Kylie McCadney (left) and Gabriel Qualls (right) assisted Union City Schools Director of Teachers and Learning Rene Flood and UCHS Principal Jacob Cross in finding a place for the banner in the Commons Area.
