New Concord Man In Critical Condition After Shooting & Altercation

 
New Concord, Ky.–A New Concord, Ky., is in critical condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center this morning after a shooting and altercation last night.
The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office 911 center received a call at 8:22 p.m. Tuesday night saying that a male subject had been shot following an altercation in the New Concord area.
Upon arrival , Deputies Troy Doss & Thomas Reynolds found Charles Milam, age 33, had suffered a shotgun wound to the upper right leg. Deputies secured the scene and then began rendering aid to the victim.
Deputy Doss applied a tourniquet above the wound until Murray-Calloway Co.
EMS arrived.
Milam was transported by ambulance to the Murray-Calloway County
Hospital Emergency Room. He was later transferred by medical helicopter to Vanderbilt
University Medical Center in Nashville, where he is listed in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing by Deputy Doss.
