Dover, Tenn.—Leatherwood Marina is closed until further notice following a boat explosion and fire Sunday morning that injured one person and destroyed nine boats, four of which sank.
Stewart County Fire & Rescue were among several agencies responding to the emergency and they issued a “big thank you” to the Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department for responding as mutual aid. Paris Landing Fire Chief Reggie Coles told WENK/WTPR his department sent one fire truck and four firefighters “while we had everyone else on standby”.
According to Stewart County Fire & Rescue, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) and other agencies remain on the scene for environmental clean-up.
