Celebrate Honey Bee Day With Local Honey, Arts & Crafts, Raptor Release & More

Buchanan, Tenn.—Celebrate National Honey Bee Day at Paris Landing State Park this Saturday, August 17, with a variety of activities.
Meet local beekeepers and the bees they care for. Discover the pollinators that live right around us, and find out what you can do to help them thrive. Make crafts and take some irises home to plant. And, you can sample local honey and take a wildflower hike.
The event is from 9 a.m. to noon and the activities will be located at the Trailhead, which is at the Conference Center parking lot.
At 10 a.m., a raptor will be released. You can see a Sharp Shinned Hawk return to the wild.
At 10:30 AM, take a guided half-mile hike through our Wetland Walk and wildflower fields.
This event is free.
