Paris, Tenn.- A 24 year old female and a 6 year old boy were injured in a one vehicle accident on Hwy. 140 and Cowpath Road on Tuesday morning between 7 am and 7 30am. According to the report from Lt. Brad Wilbanks of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Destiny Plunkett, age 24, of Buchanan, was injured along with a 6 year old male from Buchanan as well.
The vehicle, a 2012 Dodge Journey, was traveling westbound on Hwy. 140 negotiating a curve when it ran off the right side of the highway, striking a a ditch and eventually a tree. The 6 year old was wearing his seat belt according to the report, the woman was not. There is no word on the extent of injuries at this time.
