Paris, Tenn.–The Paris Photography Club is sponsoring a new photo show geared to youth and it will be on display April 13-30 at the W.G. Rhea Library in downtown Paris.
“Images & Imagination Youth Photo Showcase” will be receiving entries Saturday, April 13, and those photos will be put into two age division, K-8 and 9-12. Home schoolers are also invited to participated in the show.
Judges will select Best of Show along with first, second, and third place entries in four different categories — Pets/Animals, People, Action, and Nature/Scenic. Those photos chosen by the judges will receive a certificate of excellence, ribbon, and a cash awards.
The club hopes to expand upon this youth photo exhibit in the coming years and encourage the love of photography to a younger generation.
An awards reception will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, and the public is invited to attend.
