By Shannon McFarlin WENK/WTPR News Director
Union City, Tenn.—A warrant has been issued for a Union City man on a charge of attempted second degree murder after he allegedly shot a woman twice in the leg Thursday.
Union City Police have issued a warrant for Michael Eaton of 313 N. Morgan St.
Police were called to the Baptist Memorial Hospital emergency room where they found a female victim with gunshot wounds to the leg. She told police that her boyfriend had shot her during an altercation that started when she asked him if she could pick up some clothes for her child.
According to the report, when she pulled up to the house, Eaton asked to get in the car and became angry, pulling out a gun from his pants or hoodie. He fired through the driver’s side window, striking her in the left leg twice.
The victim drove herself to the emergency room, where a doctor was able to pull a bullet fragment from her leg and the fragment was taken for evidence.
