Paris, Tenn.—In addition to taking down three power poles on one street in the Atkins-Porter Neighborhood, Wednesday night’s storm and high winds took down a large portion of a large tree which crushed the fence on the south side of the city dog park. The damage to the fence has made it possible for big dogs—and some little dogs, too—to get out from that area of the park. Dog owners are being cautioned to be especially careful when they use the dog park until it is repaired. Paris city officials said they are working to get it repaired as quickly as possible. The dog park is located at the corner of Highland and Walnut Streets. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
