Oakland, Tenn.—Oakland Volunteer Fire Department Lt. Chuck Asher installs fire alarms in residents’ homes as part of the state’s “Get Alarmed” program. Asher said the department still has plenty and can order special alarms for those who cannot hear well. He said the department cannot get Radon detectors, however. Anyone needing smoke alarms installed can call the department at 731 644 0502 and leave a message and they will set up a time for you. You must live in the ESN 119 Oakland Fire District.
