Buchanan, Tenn.—A camper trailer was destroyed by fire early this morning and investigators are still trying to determine the cause.

Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department Chief Reggie Coles said the department was called to 100 Eagle Nest Road at 4:30 a.m. today on a report of a camper trailer on fire.

Firefighters arrived to find the 35 foot camper fully engulfed in flames. “It was a total loss,” he said, with estimated damage at $15,000.

Owner Robert Turney, of Oregon, Ohio, had not been reached as of 8:30 a.m. this morning. Coles said, “He is believed to have returned to Ohio for the Christmas holidays.”

Three trucks and eight firefighters were on the scene for two hours.
