Huntingdon, Tenn.—A fourth suspect in this morning’s liquor store robbery in Bruceton was apprehended, leaving only one still at large this afternoon.
In an update this afternoon, Huntingdon Director of Public Safety Walter Smothers reported that the fourth suspect stole a van on East Main Street in Huntingdon and fled to Hwy. 70 and then to Interstate 40. He then proceeded west on i-40.
Law enforcement deployed spike strips near the 64 mile marker, where the suspect was caught and taken into custody.
The fifth suspect still at large is described as a black male wearing blue jeans and a bright colored shirt.
As we reported earlier, a total of five men robbed the liquor store in Bruceton at 6:15 a.m. today and shortly after the robbery, three were caught in Huntingdon. The suspects took the safe from the store along with lottery tickets, but after they rammed a deputy’s cruiser in Huntingdon, the deputy rammed their van.
All five ran from the scene, leaving the van with the safe and the lottery tickets behind. Three suspects were caught at that time.
