Buchanan, Tenn.–A Winnebago camper was a total loss after it was destroyed by fire last night in Buchanan.

The Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department and Henry County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 100 Eagle Nest Road at 7 p.m. Friday on a report of a camper on fire.

Fire Chief Reggie Coles said, “Arriving units found a 40-ft Winnebago camper trailer on fire with heavy smoke and flames showing.  It was ruled a total loss.” The owner was not present at the time of the fire.

Damage is estimated at $50,000.00 and the cause of the fire is still under investigation, Coles said.

Paris Landing had two trucks and five personnel on the scene for two hours.
