Paris, Tenn.–With the site coordinator retiring this year, the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program in Henry County is needing some new volunteers.
A Meet & Greet with the VITA program will be held from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, October 24 at the Atkins-Porter Recreation Center in Paris. VITA staff have set up at the AP Rec Center for years, helping people with their tax returns for free.
Carole Walsh, who has been coordinating the program in Henry Co. for years, announced earlier she would be retiring.
The Meet & Greet will give interested persons the opportunity to discuss volunteer opportunities open with the VITA program.
