The American Advertising Federation West Tennessee will be hosting their March 2024 program featuring Sara Beth Urban, the CEO of the Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association, on Wednesday, March. 20, 2024, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the new 91-room Lodge at Paris Landing State Park.
The program, sponsored by the Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association and Northwest Tennessee Tourism, is free for members of all three organizations and students and $10 for non-members. Lunch will be provided. Register at AAFWestTennessee.com.
As Tennessee’s number two industry, tourism generated a record $28.9 billion in domestic travel spending in 2022, marking the largest visitor spending nationally in Tennessee’s history. Tourism helps drive economic development and job growth, which helped restore and grow livelihoods for Tennesseans.
During this program, held in the new 91-room Lodge at Paris Landing State Park, Urban will share tips and tricks she’s learned working with restaurants, hotels, lodging, CVBs, DMOs and attractions on promoting and advocating for the hospitality and tourism industry.
Because tourism is Tennessee’s number two industry, many of us who work in advertising and communications find ourselves working closely in that sector in one way or another,” said Amy Finch, AAF West Tennessee’s 2024 president and director of content and public relations for the Tennessee Board of Regents. “I’m looking forward to our members making connections with others working in tourism and hospitality and learning from Sara Beth.”
