KPAC 2022 Salute to Veterans

Friday, November 11, 2022 – 7:00 PM

Krider Performing Arts Center is thrilled to announce our 2022 Salute to Veterans, which is scheduled for Friday, November 11, at 7:00 PM.  This multi-generational event is FREE to the public and will include Girl Scout Troop 40100 leading the Pledge of Allegiance and The Veteran’s Honor Guard of Parker’s Crossroads presenting the flags.  There will be music from KPAC Young Artists, MainStream Vocals, HarmoniX, and KPAC Manager, Rhonda Stanton.  Our special musical guest is Gospel Artist, Randy Crowder, and Lieutenant Colonel Tony Lacy – United States Army, Retired is the guest speaker.

In addition to the recognition of all Veterans in attendance, there will be a special proclamation from Henry County Mayor John Penn Ridgeway honoring First Sergeant James Dougherty – United States Army, Retired.  Dougherty, who has recently retired, is well-known in the Paris area and has received numerous awards and commendations including:  3-Meritorious Service Medals, 4-Army Commendation Medals, 3-Army Achievement Medals, Meritorious Unit Commendation, 7-Army Good Conduct Medals, 6-Army Reserve Component Achievement Medals, National Defense Service Medal w/Bronze Service Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, 4th NON Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Humanitarian Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal W/Campaign Star, 2-Overseas Service Ribbon, 8-Army Reserve Component Overseas Training Service Ribbon, and Armed Forces Ribbon.

Join us at Krider Performing Arts Center for our annual Salute to Veterans, and make sure to tell all your friends, especially the Veterans in your life.  Seating begins at 6:30 PM for the 7:00 PM event.
