Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Republican Party will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, October 21 at 107 S. Brewer St. in Paris.

Speaker Matt Throckmorton will speak on “How to spot Critical Race Theory in your schools and what to do”.

Throckmorton is a veteran and former state legislator who has been actively involved in public education since the 1990s. He began by focusing his support on charter schools, with a goal of reducing mandates in education, and running schools more like a business. In this capacity he has helped open and operated dozens of charter schools. In 2007 he took a position as Executive Director of the Tennessee Charter Schools Association.
