Henry County Historical Society Meeting

The Henry County Historical Society will have its regular quarterly meeting on Thursday, August 6th at 6:00 p.m. at the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center, 614 North Poplar St. in Paris, Tennessee. Masks or other face coverings are recommended, and physical distancing will be implemented. For those who prefer an online option, the gathering will also be held via Zoom. Society members and visitors will be updated on the status of the restoration of our 1927 American LaFrance fire engine and new artifacts to our collection, including a People’s Healing Liniment bottle from the Paris Medicine Co. Those attending will be briefed on the new Paris-Henry County 200 committee. This committee will be seeking ideas and volunteers to help our community celebrate its bicentennial from November, 2021 through September, 2023. Come to the meeting with your ideas for how we can remember our past, celebrate our present, and prepare for our future. In addition, the group will learn about new acquisitions and plans for the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center.
