There’s a whole world to explore throughout the 50-acres at Discovery Park. Included are two man-made lakes connected by a waterway that flows along waterfalls and bridges through our beautifully landscaped grounds.

The South Lake features the Final Flight wetlands, an area inspired by the shallow waters of Reelfoot Lake, while the North Lake is centered between the Settlement and Mill Ridge. Both are stocked with a variety of species of fish.

Fishing is permitted and you can bring your own gear.

Free Fishing Day is always the Saturday of the first full week in June. Anyone (resident or non-resident) of any age can fish free without a license.

Free Fishing Week always follows Free Fishing Day in June. Children, ages 15 and younger can fish for free all week.

Fishing licenses are also available at the Union City Walmart, located just minutes away.
