Paris, Tenn.–The W.G. Rhea Library Bookstore will be reopening today (May 5), with different hours and the bookstore will be following guidelines for sanitizing and social distancing. The bookstore will be closed one hour every day to sanitize and patrons will be limited to three at a time.
Bookstore Manager Darcy Louer said the new days and hours are:
Tuesday through Friday. 9-12, then closed from 12-1 to sanitize. Open again at 1-3. Closed at 3 to sanitize.
Closed Saturdays.
The number of customers in the store are limited to 3 at a time so that social distancing can be followed, she said. “Please don’t get too agitated with us if asked to wait until someone is done shopping and leaves,” she said. “We ask that you use social distancing and try to remember it isn’t just for your health but for the health of others.”
“When we can safely be opened regular hours, we will,” she said. “We hope to stop the spread of the virus but also help our friends have something to read.”
