Dover, Tenn.–Effective at 10 am today, the gate will be open at Dover City Park to allow access to the Lick Creek boat ramp and the walking trail. City officials said this will be a trial run to promote outdoor activities during this time.
The playground equipment, basketball courts, picnic areas, tennis courts will remain off limits.
Officials said, “We strongly encourage no gatherings of people to adhere to the social distancing requests of the Governor of the state of Tennessee. Water levels dropped in last two days to allow this to happen, it can change immediately depending on circumstances.”
Routine police patrol by various agencies will be stepped up to maintain safe conditions for everyone.
