Rhea Library Closed To Public; Will Provide Curbside Delivery

Paris, Tenn.–The W.G. Rhea Public Library in Paris has announced that it will be closing to the public from March 21 until at least April 5, on the recommendation of the American Library Association, CDC and out of an abundance of caution.

The library staff will continue working ‘behind the scenes’ to perform essential services, according to Library Director Kathy Collins.

“This is not an easy decision. We care deeply about our community and every library staff member is proud to say we’ve stayed open to the public during other emergencies,” Collins said.

 –Curbside Delivery services of books and movies will be available through online reservations.
–No late fees will be generated on patron accounts. All due dates will be extended automatically.

–All items currently on hold will remain on hold.

–Renewals will continue to be provided over the phone.

–The exterior 24 hour wi-fi is always open access and reaches all corners of the parking lot.

–Our audiobooks, magazines and ebooks are always available at through READS and the library website.

–The public can keep updated on library services through its Facebook page and website or calling 731 642 1702.
