Hot Springs, Ark. –This past weekend, Local Auctioneer Junior Staggs of Puryear claimed his Seventh State/Regional Auctioneer Championship winning the 2019 Arkansas Auctioneer State Championship.
Staggs owns and operates Bid Last And WIN, a full-service auction firm specializing in Traditional ON-SITE and ONLINE ONLY auctions.
“I’m a truly blessed man” Staggs said. “I attended my first AAA convention three years ago and the members of the Arkansas Auctioneers Association have treated me like family since day one.”
“We had auctioneers from Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee and Arkansas compete in this year’s contest” said Cali Crissup Executive director for the Arkansas Auctioneers Association. As the 2019 Champion, Staggs will serve as a Champion Ambassador for the AAA and represent the AAA in the International Auctioneers Championship this summer in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The event was held at The Hotel Hot Springs in conjunction with the 2019 Arkansas Auctioneers Association Convention. Licensed Arkansas Auctioneers from several states attend the annual event to fulfil continuing education requirements in Professional Auctioneering and Real Estate Licensing.
In addition to the Arkansas State Championship, Staggs’ company Bid Last And WIN took home a record three Auction Marketing Awards. “Most people think of auctioneers as ‘Fast Talkers’, said Shannon Hunter, President of the Arkansas Auctioneers Association (and reigning 2018 State Champion) “We wanted to showcase the various marketing techniques, so we held our first ever Marketing Competition this year.”
Staggs’ company won marketing awards for Auction Flyers, Newspaper Advertising and Stationary (for company branded Business Cards, Stickers, Envelope Labels and other Marketing materials).
Staggs became an auctioneer in 2007 and a licensed Affiliate Real Estate Broker in 2012. He started his company Bid Last And WIN last February with the goal of providing the best possible Auction Marketing Services Available. “Just because we live in a small town doesn’t mean our friends and neighbors don’t deserve the most state of the art Auction Marketing Services. I’ve focused the past 5 years on attending as many conventions as possible in order to learn new ways to market and sell those most valuable assets right here at home” said Staggs.
Bid Last And WIN has team of four auctioneers, full line of equipment (trucks, trailers, tents, tables, chairs) to conduct Traditional LIVE ON-SITE auctions and was one of the First Companies in the area to specialize in Professional ONLINE ONLY Auctions.
