Paris, Tenn.–The public will have another chance to see the 1927 American LaFrance fire engine that recently found its way back to Paris at this week’s Henry Co. Historical Society meeting. The fire engine will be on display from 4-8 p.m. inside the Enoch Building and the meeting itself will begin at 6 p.m.
At the meeting, Historical Society President David Webb will give a presentation on the history and travels over the years of the fire engine. The engine was owned by the city of Paris from 1928 to 1964.
In 2016, the apparatus was donated to Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue near Portland, Oregon, which in turn donated it to the Henry Co. Historical Society a few days ago.
