K9 Adora Tracks Suspect Two Miles For Arrest

Buchanan, Tenn.—Thanks to Henry Co. Sheriff’s Sgt. Wayne Fuqua and his K9 Adora, a Buchanan man who was a fugitive from justice was tracked through woods during a foot chase and is now in the Henry Co. Jail on $105,000 bond.

In addition to the fugitive from another state charge out of Calloway County, Ky., Rocky Beechum, age 40, of 5642 Rabbit Creek Road, is charged with evading arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fuqua and Sheriff’s Deputy Hayley French had received information that Beechum was at a Rabbit Creek Rd. residence and a woman at the home told them Beechum had been next door. Deputies heard a loud noise and saw Beechum running off the front porch of the trailer next door.

Even after deputies warned him they would turn the K9 loose on him, Beechum ran into the woods. Adora picked up the scent and by this time, two Calloway Co. deputies had joined in.
After following Beechum’s track for two miles, Adora was able to locate him and he was taken into custody.
