Misty Aird Speaks To Rotary About Tragic Accident, Recovery

McKenzie, Tenn.—Bethel Ladies’ Soccer Coach Misty Aird spoke to the McKenzie Rotary Club about her recovery following a tragic wreck that occurred last spring.
Aird was critically injured in a two-car accident near Trenton that killed her husband’s parents. Aird was airlifted to The Med in Memphis and was not expected to live.  She underwent several surgeries and was hospitalized for weeks and was in rehabilitation for months.
Prayer vigils were held at Bethel University for Aird and her family following the accident, and she said members of the community cared for her children during her hospitalization.
Aird told Rotary members that the accident and her recovery have increased her faith in Jesus Christ and said it also showed her the level of compassion of the people in her adopted hometown of McKenzie.
She was the guest of Rotarian Sandi Roditis. In photo are: from left, Rotary President Krista Martin, Misty Aird and Sandi Roditis. (Photo courtesy of McKenzie Banner).
