Union City, Tenn.–Union City Police are investigating another shooting that occurred Sunday.
Police were dispatched to the Eastgate housing complex in the 500 block of Nash St. Sunday in reference to shots fired. Police found spent casings in the area of 513 Nash St. As they were closing the area off as a crime scene, a woman approached them and told them who had been shot.
Officers found the victim, a 26-year-old man from Union City, holding his right side just under his arm pit. The victim said he was brushed by the bullet and refused medical attention. The victim told police the suspect was wearing a black hoodie and some kind of mask and that he had first been accosted while sitting on the stairs and the shooting occurred as he was running away.
Union City Police are also investigating a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours Sunday outside Club Oasis. A 33-year-old man was transported to The Med in Memphis for treatment after the shooting.
