Columbus, Ky.–The weather was perfect for the annual Civil War Days weekend at Columbus-Belmont State Park, especially for the reenactors wearing their woolen uniforms. The weekend included battle reenactments, living history activities and encampments for both the Blue and the Gray. Columbus-Belmont State Park will host a Halloween-themed weekend October 25-27 with prizes for best decorated campsite & best costume. There will be a chili & dessert cook-off. Trick or Treating followed by a “Civil War Ghost HIKE” ending the night with coffee and hot chocolate. (Photo by Joni Yates).
