Union City, Tenn.–There’s something new on display at Discovery Park of America in Union City.
If you’re planning to Discovery Park of America for fall break and plan to experience the temporary exhibit, “Hot Wheels: Race to Win,” you’ll also want to stop by the Transportation Gallery and check out the 1979 Federal Express #91 Sprint car, which is on loan to Discovery Park indefinitely.
It was driven by Sammy Swindell from 1978 to 1980 and was the first car FedEx sponsored. The car is right at home on display alongside the March Type 83c driven by Bobby Rahal and the Budweiser #8 Chevy R07 driven Dale Earnhardt Jr.
See them all 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. any Tuesday through Sunday in the Transportation Gallery at Discovery Park of America, 840 Everett Blvd., Union City.
