Paris, Tenn.- Henry County Court Appointed Special Advocates, otherwise known as CASA, will sponsor and hold a Chili Cook-off “Showdown” for CASA’s foster children.
They are seeking teams of four to five people to enter the Chili Cook off for Children. The event will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday November 9th in the Enoch Building at the Henry County Fairgrounds. Awards will include Grand Chili Champion, People’s Choice Award, Best Theme, Costume, and Decorated Booth.

Organizers said it will be a “hot time in the ole town tonight” with great food live music, games for the kids, door prizes, and fellowship.
Entry fee is $50, deadline to enter is October 15th. Team registration forms are available at Merison’s, the Iron Place, Jack Jones, Lura Lee’s, or by emailing for texting 731-336-8181 or mlc.wrcmd@gmail.com to Martha Campbell, or by emailing hccasa2018@gmail.com.
If you don’t want to compete, you can help out by coming to eat on November 9th. Cost is $10 in advance and $15 at the door to try all the chilis you want to. Children will be $5 in advance and $7.50 at the door that evening. Children under the age of three are free. You will be able to purchase bowls of chili for $1 if you want more than the tasting cup and vote on People’s choice winner for 50 cents per vote.
