Henry, Tenn.–The Henry Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to 1500 Radford Lake Road on a report of an out-of-control land fire just after 5 p.m. Monday.
Firefighters found a gully on fire and responded with one fire engine and four firefighters. The fire was extinguished and firefighters cleared the scene in about 30 minutes.
No injuries were reported.
Henry VFD Training Officer Dustin Odom said with the hot and dry conditions, the likely cause was someone throwing a cigarette out of the window of their vehicle.
