Refuge Photo Contest Entries Accepted

Paris, Tenn.–The Friends of Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge will be hosting its sixth annual Photography Contest.
The contest is sponsored by the Friends Group, Dr. Danny Kimberlin, Dr. Gene Gulish and Stanley Leslie to help raise awareness of the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge and the many photo opportunities that it offers.
Although there is no entry fee this year, proceeds from any donations received from the entrants will be used by the Friends Group to assist with funding of projects and activities that take place on the refuge, such as trail projects, Discovery Series events and providing funding to try to ensure that field trips, including 3000 students this year, can continue to happen.
The digital entries are accepted through  Oct. 2, 2019 until 4PM and can be hand delivered or mailed to the Visitor’s Center, located at 1371 Wildlife Dr., Springville, TN  38256. The digital files can also be emailed to refugereflections@gmail.com .   Winners will be announced at a reception to be held at the Visitor’s Center on Saturday, Nov. 02, 2019 at 2 pm.
There will be no entry fee but any donations will be accepted.  There will be an adult category and a youth category for photographers under 18.  Cash prizes paid out are $50 for 1st Place in each category and $100 for Best of Show.
Entry forms may be picked up at the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge Visitor’s Center or downloaded at:
