Paris, Tenn.—Jordan St. John was honored Tuesday evening with the Modern Woodmen of the World “Hometown Hero” Award.
Officials with the local group went to Sweet Jordan’s Ice Cream Shoppe to present the award to him. He received $100 to go toward the local charity of his choice and he chose “Friends of Sweet Jordan’s”.
St. John is the inspiration for Sweet Jordan’s which is the only business for miles around that employs special needs personnel. He was born with Down Syndrome and is the son of Brad and Tommie St. John, who opened Sweet Jordan’s two years ago.
