Paris, Tenn.—Meeting Monday night, the Henry County Election Commission officially called for the March 3, 2020 President and Local Primary Election, reviewed the 2020 Election calendar and approved new voter registrations.

Last date to register to vote in that election is February 5, 2020. Early voting will be from February 12-February 25, 2020.
Offices to be elected at the March 3 Election are: Chancellor, Constable District 4 (unexpired term), President and Delegates; Property Assessor; Road Board Commission Chairman; Road Board Commission Districts 2 and 5, District 4 (unexpired); Superintendent of Roads.
In other business, Green updated the commission on the progress of the move by the Elections Office to a new location in Weston Hall. Work continues on the move, which involves remodeling office space on the main floor of Weston Hall to create a larger workspace for the Elections Commission. WENK/WTPR published an article on the project Monday morning.
The Election Commission currently is in the courthouse annex on Washington Street and will be moving into its new quarters by late fall.
The Election Commission is conducting Voting 101 free programs every Monday this month for National Voter Registration Month. The programs are on a different topic each night, at 5 p.m., at the County 911 Building on Brewer St.
